Dustin Smurdon

Employee Benefits Office Leader

Dustin Smurdon is the Employee Benefits Leader of our office, responsible for the overall performance of the Employee Benefits Division. The team consists of about 50 teammates focusing on Service, Analytics, Marketing, Enrollment & Wellness, and Marketing. Dustin has been with Brown & Brown since 2015. Prior to Brown & Brown, Dustin spent nearly 12 years with JPMorgan Chase in various operational and leadership roles. He currently serves on the Board of the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties as the Resource Development Chair. He is originally from Ohio, where he attended Ohio University and obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing. Dustin holds his insurance licenses for Life, Variable Annuities & Health along with the General Lines Property & Casualty.

Lindsey McClammy

Employee Benefits Marketing Leader

Lindsey McClammy is the Marketing Leader for the Employee Benefits Department.  She has been with Brown & Brown since 2009.  With her 10+ years of experience in the industry, she has specialized in Employee Benefits, including fully insured and self-funded medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and workplace coverages.  Currently, she leads a team of 7 responsible for the marketing of both new and existing accounts.  She has also led the small business team which consists of 4 Account Managers and 4 Marketers that focuses on employers with under 50 employees. Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of West Florida and holds an insurance license for Life, Variable Annuities & Health.

Lacey Lewis

Select Business Team Leader

Lacey Lewis is the leader of our Select Business team for companies under 50 employees. Lacey brings a unique mindset to our department and concentrates on ways to bring a fresh perspective to our industry and customer service. She is also passionate about continuing to strengthen teammate engagement within our company. Lacey came to Brown & Brown in 2015 after working as a Victim Advocate with the State Attorney’s Office in both Orange and Volusia Counties. Lacey is involved in various local organizations and previously co-chaired the Orange County Domestic Violence Task Force. Lacey works continuously on developing ways to grow our Select Business team and strengthen our local presence. Lacey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and holds her insurance licenses for Life, Variable Annuities & Health.

Laurie Nelson

Employee Benefits Service Leader

Laurie Nelson, as our Employee Benefits Service Leader, oversees our Account Management and Implementation Teams. Laurie has been with Brown & Brown since 1996 and has experience in all aspects of Group Benefits, including both fully insured and self-funded products. She is also a member of our National Employee Benefits Service Committee whose focus is analyzing and developing customer focused processes and workflows. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from University of Central Florida. Laurie holds a Life, Variable Annuity & Health license along with a 440 license in Property & Casualty.

Brandon Savage

Director of Analytics

Brandon is the Director of Analytics for the Employee Benefits Department of Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc. In his 10+ years of experience in the industry, he has proven versatility in a variety of roles ranging from Director of Account Management to Account Executive. Currently, he leads a team that is primarily responsible for reviewing plan performance for fully-insured and self-funded customers, assessing self-funding for fully-insured employers, planning design bench marking, evaluating contribution strategies, and serving as the primary liaison for actuarial work. Brandon earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the State University of New York.

Tiffany Hill

Implementation Team Leader

Tiffany Hill is the Implementation Team Leader as well as the Wellness Specialist for the Employee Benefits Division. She has been with Brown & Brown since 2014, and upon joining the team brought with her six years of Human Resources experience. With her Human Resources experience as well as her time spent as an Account Manager for Brown & Brown, Tiffany understands the important role her team plays in providing continuous education and support to our customers. Tiffany and her team facilitate both new hire as well as annual enrollment meetings, ensuring that our customers and their teams are educated on their coverage. Tiffany also supports our customers’ population health programs and holds her CWPC designation as a Certified Wellness Program Coordinator. She is a member of Brown & Brown’s Population Health and Well-Being Ambassador Network. Tiffany received her Bachelors of Science degree at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Hospitality and Tourism Management, and holds an insurance license for Life, Variable Annuities & Health.
